Reading Community Development

The Reading Community Development is a non-profit organization devoted to the continued improvement of our small part of the world.

We need the public support and input to identify, connect and develop into a thriving community which nourish youth, engage citizens and foster partnerships.

Business, Education, Government and Human Services are all facets of the area we work with to formulate solutions.  It has fostered numerous action teams that have continued to move the community forward.  We will continue toward our future utilizing the existing organizations established in our area.

The scholarship committee met recently and awarded a $500 scholarship for the fall of 2024 to each of eight worthy students who previously attended Reading Elementary School.  They are:  Sadie Bathurst, Greta Crawford, Bethany DeDonder, Elizabeth Galloway, Hannah Jones, Warren Lowery, McKinley Senft and Austin Woodrow.  People of the Reading community should be very proud of the accomplishments of all of them.
